Sometimes I think too much – but this time, I experimented on unknowing individuals to try and understand my thoughts a little better. The topic swirling in my head relates to employing staff with benefits and attempting to reach a certain goal.
It’s all the buzz right now and we have even seen tenders asking for system compliance to AIOps, like it’s a check in the box kind of thing. I cringe at the thought! One of the challenges that we list when talking to clients about AIOps is the lack of strategy. It’s not a “check-in-the-box” type of feature, although sometimes it is marketed as such.

Historically, the concept of network monitoring meant software polling the network devices to confirm if they were up or down. In time, more advanced systems evolved to measure performance metrics and check configuration compliance too.
